
Since completing the presentation, many of us on the game development team, including myself, have been busy completing assignments for our Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence module. Therefore, there has been a slowdown of adding in new features to our game this week.
In this time I have fixed a few networking bugs we were having such as lobbies not displaying all the time etc. I have also spent some time trying to minimize the syncing issues of players current locations. I did this by synchronising the location and rotation of players across the network using Photon Transform View Classic as well as enabling teleport for great distances. This ensured that players who appeared to have driven off the map on some players views was visible to all players view.

As you can see from the video parcel collections are correctly updated across all players screens and the relative location of players is mostly correct. However, there is still some jittering of opponents between player screens which will need to be fixed in future updates.
Conclusion
In future I am planning to reduce the syncing issues more by carrying out more research on how photon predicts the location of other players over the network. Thanks for reading!
